Butter Thieves
A global mantra-fusion project blending traditional kirtan with hip hop, reggae, and world music into one modern sound. Rooted in the Bhakti yoga tradition and inspired by Kṛṣṇa — beats, mantras, storytelling, and conscious lyricism carried from festival stages to yoga spaces worldwide.
Founded and fronted by Jamil. Performances at Bhakti Fest, Shakti Fest, Beloved, Disclosure Fest, and stages across India, the USA, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Costa Rica.
Fourteen releases since 2020, including collaborations with Tulsi Bloom, Radhika Dasi, Alina Kazz, Namapriya Jahnava Devi Dasi, Fohrenbach and Maité La Muse. Jamil’s quieter solo work is here.
